Relax and let us take you on a musical adventure. Imagine with us, the journey of a river. As you listen to our medley of sounds, allow them to take you where they will, upstream and downstream as we all travel with our longings, searching for outlets, forging new courses to the sea.

Sometimes we are in still pools, with the soft sounds of dripping trees, sometimes we are tumbling in the rage of a storm which is stirring up the riverbed. We wonder if we will ever get to the end.

Sometimes we are panicking in marshes or trapped by debris or shocked by the sound of rushing water breaking on dangerous rocks. But everything comes back to normal eventually, and it’s all a memory of how we made the journey, how we stayed in flow, going wherever it is we need to go.

In Flow was supported by That’s Life; an award winning arts programme of the Brothers of Charity Services, Galway which offers people with intellectual disability opportunities to discover and realise their artistic potential through working with established artists and participating in high quality arts programmes.

In Flow Galway, Ireland

In Flow is a unique ensemble combining Javanese Gamelan, improvisation and electronics.
 In collaboration with facilitator and jazz musician Aengus Hackett, the group composed the music together and developed a new approach for  using improvisation to make music on the Gamelan.
